Start Painting Portrait Without Advance Level of Color Mixing

Mixing skin color can be challenging because every inch of the skin has a relatively different color and tone.

For a beginner to start portrait painting, choosing a rather simple skin color can make the whole process less intimidating.

This is an example of skin color that is not only close to existing oil paint color such as Burn Sienna, Burn Umber and Yellow Ochre, it requires less complicated color mixing.

The result can be stunning with some highlights to create glowing skin effect. Give it a try!
